APPLICATIONS ( CURRENTLY CLOSED )

APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN FROM MIDNIGHT ON THE 1ST to 11:59 PM ON THE 5TH OF EVERY MONTH (EST)
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
  • Take the code contained in the textarea and post it to your journal. Fill out the application there.
  • PLEASE READ THE APPLICATION EXPLANATION BEFORE COMPLETING YOUR APP. It contains important requirements and information for how you should complete certain sections.
  • Post a link to your application with the comment header format of CHARACTER NAME | CANON | RESERVED/NOT RESERVED. Feel free to stylize it in any way you wish, but please include this information.
  • Applications are not screened. You are free to lock your application on your journal after being accepted or rejected.
  • App challenges are not allowed for reserved characters. If two people post apps for the same unreserved character, the first app will be judged. If it is rejected the second application will be judged. Because the character is not reserved, no one has a speicifc claim and thus the original app being rejected should not mean others cannot apply for this unclaimed character.
  • There is a cap of 120 characters total for now, just to see how the game handles at that size. This cap may be raised based on reception and player vote. For now casts are capped at six characters.
  • Apps will be judged after apps close, and responses will be sent out ASAP.

CASTS REACHING CAP: Homestuck (6/6), Love Live: Sunshine! (4/6), Persona 5 (4/6), Tales of Berseria (4/6)
    FRANCHISES REACHING CAP: N/A
    CURRENT GAME CAP: 88/120

SEMI-NEW: THERE IS A NEW CONTINUITY FRANCHISE CAP OF 10 CHARACTERS. THIS APPLIES TO FRANCHISES WITH MAJOR CONTINUITY INVOLVED, LIKE FATE/, MCU, STAR WARS, ETC. THE SIX CHARACTER CAP STILL APPLIES TO ALL CANONS, BUT THERE WILL ALSO BE A 10 CHARACTER CAP APPLIED TO THE FRANCHISE ITSELF TO PREVENT GAME CROWDING AND TO KEEP CAPS FAIR.

FOR MARCH CYCLE: APPS WILL BE OPEN FOR 7 DAYS, NOT 5. ANY APPS SUBMITTED IN MARCH CAN INCLUDE A WRITTEN SAMPLE DUE TO LOW MOD ACTIVITY.

Although it is “regeneration,” the term “increases” is what defines the magical ability the most. The human body has its own sort of regeneration through natural healing processes, and Midoriya’s magic speeds up the otherwise natural process that the body heals with. Midoriya needs skin-on-skin contact near the area of the wound for it to work. Major wounds can take as little as a minute. If the recipient has the ability to regenerate lost limbs, Midoriya can speed up that process as well, but only if it is part of their natural (or magical) tendencies.

Due to the magic relying on the natural human body to heal, it takes actual physical energy to heal, but Midoriya can supplement some of his own energy. By sacrificing his own energy, it allows the burden of physical energy consumption to be lessened on the recipient. Midoriya cannot use his own energy to further increase the speed of regeneration. He can also use the process on himself, but the energy consumption is far greater.

The major drawback is the energy consumption. If the damage a character has suffered is greater than their own ability to provide energy to heal, then it can end up killing them. Most of the time I’ll leave it to the other player to decide if they want that or not - any other time I’d be declining that kind of trauma. Midoriya’s magic can’t always heal a wound perfectly if the body has been disfigured too much; for example, broken bones might heal in the wrong places without proper alignment and scars can be left behind. He makes a better first aid kit than legitimate medical resource.
