Another Automata here, piggybacking off of 9S's question (that piggybacked off of 2B's...), but this time in regards to one of those pesky machine lifeforms.
We never play from the perspective of Adam or Eve, so it's a bit more difficult to pin down how their powers work, exactly, but they were built to be comparable to or even able to surpass androids, if given the chance, so while their powers are kind of on the op side, they're still "biological" functions, so I just want to check in on how that would work and if/when any nerfing would be necessary (because I certainly don't mind in the least!).
1) They both can teleport, by seeming to disappear in wisps of light and reappearing somewhere else in the same way. It's unclear on the limitations of this, but when we see them do it, it's mostly to somewhere within sight, though at one point they do leave the area entirely. It seems to be established that they have a sort of "home base" at that point, so a reasonable assumption that could be made is the limits of the teleportation would be only somewhere they've been or somewhere they can see, but that's not been confirmed or denied. If you'd like me to put any kind of limits on that I can, just let me know!
2) Eve, specifically, can regenerate himself from any physical damage taken except when 9S hacks into him and disables that ability, to the point where he can regenerate limbs and take otherwise fatal blows without a second thought. He can also heal other machine lifeforms (Adam, specifically, though whether or not he could heal others if he chose to is unknown), though there is a time limit on that. He can't bring them back to life unless they're still connected to the machine network, but otherwise he seems to be able to make them as good as new.
3) Eve's tantrums are. Dangerous. The first time, he causes several large concrete buildings to collapse, and the second time, he kicks up a whirlwind around the boss stage. How he does this is ambiguous, but it's also shown that he can levitate and control metal with his mind, including making makeshift weapons and armor from it, and so it wouldn't be a stretch to conclude that the buildings collapsing would be from him doing something to the steel structures in the buildings, and the whirlwind could be from a conscious attempt to contain the player nearby using the considerable amount of machine debris around, since it dissipates immediately once he's defeated.
4) He can generate the bullet-hell orbs that other enemies in Automata can, but he only does this when he's busy being an Upset And Grieving Final Boss, so would it be a safe assumption to make that something like that would only be accessible when his emotions are wildly out of control and only on certain worlds?
5) His tattoo grows when he's upset, and his strength and power level seems to grow right along with it. Outwardly, it's mostly a cosmetic change, and could be interpreted as a change of pigmentation in his skin because machines, so I'm not anticipating needing to nerf that (especially since it's a big handy hit on when cr would need to get him to sit down and calm down, once they've caught on to that being A Thing), but the power level rise is something I'm wondering about. Physically, I imagine it works as a sort of overdrive, but it also seems to let him use bullet hell orbs as well as hit harder in general/heal faster, so on certain worlds would it be a safe assumption to make that it might also give a boost to his gifted magics as well? That's fine if it's a no, but I figured I'd ask before it potentially came up!
That's all in addition to the heightened strength/speed that comes from being a combat-oriented machine. ~Final Boss Problems~
