It's definitely an interesting power. My advice would be to hammer out more details and come up with some realistic, hypothetical scenarios and how the power would work. Also consider that this is a power that could potentially affect a lot of player characters within an area if used at higher mastery, which may require handwaving and etc. if they're existing within a setting around the character without actively being involved with a thread containing the power.

TL;DR it's potentially a workable idea on its face, but think through the possibilities before settling on it for good to prevent revision requests.
